Hi, my name's Mario... I'm the guy in the middle and the owner of 'Just Snorkel.'
I’m originally from Chetumal, on the border of Belize and Mexico, but my family moved to Texas when I was 2 years old, and I grew up in Dallas. So I actually speak fluent English, as do some of the others on my staff.
Members of my family have been in the Puerto Morelos area since the 70s, working in taxis and other local businesses. After my first couple visits here to see the fam, I fell in love with the beach and off-shore reef. So I decided to move here permanently when I was 27 years old.
I've now been running snorkeling tours here in Puerto Morelos since 2009, so over 16 years. It's literally the best place to snorkel in this region!
